DWIGHT N. FAULKNER


LOUISBURG--Dwight Nelson Faulkner, 72, of Louisburg departed this earthly life on Friday, August 10, 2018 at his home. Born on April 2, 1946 to the late Perry A. and Mamie Louise Denson Faulkner. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother Perry A. Faulkner, and his half-sister, Mildred Patton. Dwight was raised on a rural farm; he enjoyed hunting, fishing and trapping. He was very smart man, mechanically inclined so much so that he and his brothers built an air boat and a helicopter. Dwight was also an honest man and sometimes brutally honest, whether it was good or bad.

The family received friends Sunday from 4:00 - 6:00 pm at Lancaster Funeral and Cremation Services, 804 N. Bickett Blvd., Louisburg

He is survived by his wife, Mamie Ellen Faulkner; sons, Terry Faulkner (Kelly), Kelly Faulker (Nikki); stepson, Mike Gupton (Brenda); grandchildren, Peyton, Wyatt, Levi, Eli and Silas Faulkner; step-grandchildren, Michael Wayne Gupton, Brittany Roberson and Christian King; brothers, Douglas Faulkner (Margaret), Fulton Faulkner, Kirk Faulkner (Linda), Gary Faulkner (Connie) and Thurston Faulkner (Sheila); sister, Rita Boyd (Milton); half-sisters, Edna Thomas and Shirley Roberson; and many nieces and nephews.
