HENDERSON--Ida Mae Lassiter Russell, 91, died Friday, Sept. 14, 2018. The family will receive friends Wednesday, Sept. 19, at 1 p.m. at Lancaster Funeral and Cremation Services, 804 N. Bickett Blvd., Louisburg, where a memorial service will follow at 2 p.m., with the Rev. Bill Pyle officiating. Burial will follow in Lancaster Memorial Park.

She was born to the late Morton M. and Mattie Dunn Lassiter. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Donald W. Russell.

She worked for more than 40 years as a legal secretary in both Vance and Franklin counties.

Surviving: her daughter, Sheila Daniel (Marvin); son, Chuck Latta; brother, James Lassiter; sister, Penny Dixon; two grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild; numerous nieces and nephews.
