ZEBULON - Ruth Stallings Alford, 86, died Sunday, June 24, 2007. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. today (Wednesday, June 27) at Pilot Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the Upchurch-Alford-Bunn cemetery.

She was the daughter of the late Robert and Ola Stallings. Mrs. Alford was preceded in death by her husband, Fred F. Alford; and two brothers, Bill Stallings and Robert “Jr.” Stallings.

Surviving: two children, Robert Alford of Raleigh, Pam Privette (Wayne) of Wendell; sisters, Arlene S. Yakalavich (Ed) of Hampton, Va., Edith S. Mann of Raleigh, Helen S. Bauer (Al) of Raleigh; three grandchildren.
