FRANKLINTON - Helen Kearney Goodwin, 80, died Thursday, June 28, 2007. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday, July 1, in the Franklin Funeral Service chapel Franklinton by the Rev. Clyde Waiden. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery.

She was a native of Granville County, the daughter of the late Willie and Fannie Branscom Kearney. She was a retired employee of Corning.

Surviving: her husband, Frank Foster Goodwin Sr.; daughter, Brenda G. Sparks of Screven, Ga.; two sons, Larry Goodwin of Franklinton and Frank Foster Goodwin Jr.; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Goodwin was preceded in death by one son, Stephen Edward Yielding.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 tonight (Saturday, June 20) at Franklin Funeral Service, and other times they will be at the home.
