MORRISTOWN, TN--Charles M. Hagwood, formerly of Franklin County, died Friday, Dec. 7, 2018. A graveside service was held Tuesday, Dec. 11, at Jefferson Memorial Gardens.

He was born and raised near Bunn and graduated from North Carolina State University where he received a degree in chemical engineering.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Jane, and son, David.

Surviving: sons, Scott (Janet) Hagwood and Bradley Hagwood; and a granddaughter, Kristen Wood.

In lieu of flowers, the Kate Hagwood College Scholarship Fund, c/o New Hope Christian Church, 2779 NC Hwy. 98 West, Louisburg, NC 27549 is accepting donations in memory of Charles' mother, who had a passion for education.
