FRANKLINTON--Albert Lloyd Bennett Jr., 93, died Friday, Jan. 11, 2019. A graveside service was held Tuesday, Jan. 15, at Fairview Cemetery, Franklinton, with the Rev. David Averette officiating.

He was born in Altavista, Va. to the late Albert Lloyd Sr. and May Stone Bennett. He was an Army veteran, having served in WWII.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Louise Green Bennett; sisters, Genevee Hayden and Barbara Hailey; and a brother, Milas Bennett.

Surviving: sons, Bruce Bennett, Brooks Bennett, and Mark Bennett (Debbie); a brother, David Lee Bennett; one grandson; and two great-grandchildren.
