DURHAM--Funeral services for Matilda Victoria Macon Rose, 78, who died Monday, Feb. 18, 2019, will be held Saturday, Feb. 23, at 1 p.m. at St. Joseph AME Church in Durham. Burial will follow in the Glenview Memorial Gardens.

Matilda was born in Franklin County to the late Cecil Sr. and Rachel Victoria Macon.

Surviving: daughters, Marilyn Bey of Manhattan, N.Y., Alisha Albright of Durham; son Timothy Bey of Florida; sisters, Dorothy Macon Perry of Louisburg, Louise Belcher of Newport News, Va., Olivia Macon Strickland of Louisburg; brother, Richard Macon Sr. of Louisburg; and a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Saturday from 12 until 1 p.m. at St. Joseph AME Church in Durham.
