CASTALIA--Cynthia Batchelor Peaden Phillips, 60, of Castalia died Wednesday, March 27, 2019 at her home. Graveside services will be held Sunday, March 31, at 2 p.m. at the Peaden family cemetery in Falkland, NC, with Pastor James Keel officiating.

She was born to the late Samuel Luther and Helen Davenport Peaden.

Surviving: son, Anthony Batchelor (Michelle); daughter Melissa Lewis (Eddie); 11 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren; sisters, Jeanette Linkous (Rodney), Deborah Rasnick (David); brothers, Charles Ray Peaden (Gwen) and Samuel Earl Peaden; and seven nieces and nephews.
