JAMES E. CANNADY


James Edward Cannady, the second child of nine children, was born to the late Margie Cannady Bobbitt on January 25, 1950 in Franklinton, North Carolina. At the age of 69, he transitioned from this life to peace at his home in Louisburg, North Carolina on April 25, 2019.

Survivors include his wife: Florence I. Cannady of Louisburg, NC; step-daughter, Regina A. Gans-Wilson (Keith) of Louisburg, NC; one son, Frederick Cannady of Raleigh, NC; three grandchildren, five great-grandchildren; five sisters, Annie Cannady, Cynthia Bobbitt, and Frances Bobbitt, all of Franklinton, NC, Dalphine Bobbitt of Louisburg, NC and Julia Williams of Henderson, NC; two brothers, Willie Bobbitt (Towanwa) and Bennie Bobbitt (Annie Ruth), both of Franklinton, NC; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.

Services were held Friday, May 3, 2019 at 1 p.m. at Walnut Grove Baptist Church, 229 Walnut Grove Church Road, Louisburg, NC 27549

Dr. Timothy J. Walker, Sr., was the pastor.

Cutchins Family Mortuary and Cremations, 7 West Green St., Franklinton, NC, was in charge of services.
