LOUISBURG--Monie Jr. Pendergrass, 79, died Sunday, June 23, 2019 at his home. The family will receive friends Friday, June 28, from 6 until 7 p.m. at Community Chapel, 11556 Taylor Store Road, Nashville, where a memorial service will be held at 7 p.m.

He was born to the late Monie and Pearl Dickerson Pendergrass. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his brother, Jimmy Pendergrass.

Surviving: his wife, Frances Pendergrass; daughters, Sheila Tharrington (Ronnie), Cecilia Tharrington (Dale), Sylvia Price and Amanda Pendergrass; sons, Monie Greg Pendergrass (Cindy), Rodney Pendergrass; sisters, Corann, Dorothy, Rachael; brothers, Robert Allen, Tony, John Henry and Mac; 17 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
