HENDERSON--Annie Pernell Blanton, 85, died, Tuesday, June 25, 2019 at her home. Funeral services will be held Friday, June 28, at 2 p.m. at South Henderson Pentecostal Holiness Church, conducted by the Rev. Frank Sossamon. Burial will follow in Sunset Gardens.

Born in Franklin County, she was the daughter of the late Jodie Faulkner and Sydney Washington Pernell. She was the widow of Clarence Carl Blanton and was retired from the former Ball-Incon Inc.

Surviving: daughters, Angela "Angie" Lassiter Wilkie (Rick), Cynthia "Cindy" Lassiter Overby (Joe), and Sharon Lassiter Stallings (Joey); a sister, Lottie Ernestine Pernell Strickland; three grandchildren, four great-grandchildren

She was preceded in death by six sisters, Lorena P. Ayscue, Pearl P. Pernell, Pauline P. Pernell, Daphine P. Pleasants, Florence Pernell, and Alma Pernell; and two brothers, Johnny Hugh Pernell, and Clinton Pernell.

The family will receive friends Friday, from 12:30 - 2 p.m. at South Henderson Pentecostal Holiness Church. All other times they will be at her home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to South Henderson Pentecostal Holiness Church, 905 Americal Road, Henderson, NC 27536.
