KANNAPOLIS--Cale Melloy Lewis, 52, of Kannapolis passed away July 31, 2019. He worked for Sysco Guest Supply for over 20 years. Cale graduated from Vance Senior High School in Henderson, NC and attended UNCW and was a member of Chi Phi Fraternity.

To know Cale was to love him. He never met a stranger. Cale loved sports. An animal lover, he could never turn away a fur baby in need. Cale always had a beautiful smile and was loved by many.

Cale was preceded in death by his grandparents, Adell and Floyd Lewis of Pilot and Hazel and Grover Jeffreys of Louisburg; and father and mother-in-law, Fred and Glenda Carmichael of Morristown, TN.

He leaves behind his wife, Lisa, and daughter, Emily; his parents, Cortez and Alma Lee Lewis of Louisburg; brothers-in-law, Blaine Carmichael and wife Denise, and Cannon Carmichael and wife Kim; nephews, Dakota, Tray and Shay Carmichael; aunts and uncles, Camelia Gilchrist of Monk's Corner, SC, Betsy (Howard) Jones, JoAnne (Bobby) Mullen of Pilot, Lynn (David) Hawkins of Zebulon, Eula May of Louisburg, Hilda (Walter) Simpkins of Garner, Shelia (Allen) Driver of West Jefferson, Gail (Steve) Hoyle of Kittrell, Glen (Carrol) Lewis of Hope Mills, Thomas (Ann) Lewis of Pilot, Edison (Doris) Jeffreys of Louisburg; Van (Beverly) Jeffreys of Manson.

Funeral services were conducted Saturday, Aug. 3, at 1 p.m. at First Baptist Church of Enochville. The Rev. Ron Tosten officiated. The family received friends from 1-2 p.m. Saturday prior to the service at the church. Interment was Sunday, Aug. 4, at 4 p.m. at Morgan-Lewis Family Cemetery, 1747 Carlyle Road, Pilot, NC.
