LOUISBURG - Catherine Ball Bobbitt, 76, died Sunday evening, Dec. 29, 2019 at her home. Funeral service was held at 2 p.m. Friday, Jan. 3, at Mountain Grove Baptist Church, with the Rev. David Grindstaff officiating. Burial followed in Lancaster Memorial Park.

She was a daughter of the late G. Foster and Maxine M. Ball. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thadeus Wayne Bobbitt Sr., and her son, Wayne Bobbitt Jr.

Surviving: sons, Barry Bobbitt of Columbia, SC, Ronnie Bobbitt of Elizabeth City; sisters, Deborah B. Jones of Raleigh, Carolyn B. Whitehurst (Guy) of Oxford; brothers, George Ball, Jr. (Hilda) of Littleton, Michael Ball of Louisburg; five grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Mountain Grove Baptist Church, 834 Alert Rd., Louisburg, NC 27549.
