ZEBULON -Nancy Ziegler Mintzer Wood, 79, died Tuesday, Dec. 31, 2019. She was born in Erie, PA, to the late Earl and Mary Ziegler. She worked for the NCDMV. She loved her church and fellowshipping with her church family.

She was preceded in death by a husband, David Mintzer, and daughter, JoAnn Wood Cash.

Funeral services were held at 11 a.m., Friday, Jan. 3, 2020, at Charity Free Will Baptist Church and burial followed in Oakwood Cemetery in Louisburg.

She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Joseph "Joe" Wilbur Wood of the home, children, Dianne Wood of Louisburg, Leon Mintzer of Knightdale, David Mintzer, Jr. (Beth) of Zebulon, Mona Lombardi (Richard) of Raleigh, sister, Norma Goodrich; grandchildren, Tomiko, Jason, Larry, Jr., Kristin, David III, John, Kyle, Tyler, David, Hannah; and 21 great-grandchildren.

Visitation was held Thursday at Strickland Funeral Home and Crematory, 211 W. Third St., Wendell and other times at the home.
