FRANKLINTON--Gerald Dean Francis, "Roger," 73, of Franklinton, died Sunday, Feb. 9, 2020. The family will receive friends Wednesday night from 6 - 7:30 at Lancaster Funeral and Cremation Services, 804 N. Bickett Blvd., Louisburg. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. at Lancaster Funeral and Cremation Services Chapel with the Rev. Ricky Easter officiating.

He was born in Ashe County to the late Millburn and Vennie Francis. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two siblings, Dickie and Patsy Francis.

He was a lifetime resident of Franklinton and was a master carpenter.

Surviving: his wife, Rebecca Francis; daughter, Tammy (Rodney) Hagwood; son, Johnny (Hope) Francis, son Derek Francis; daughter, Tonya (Alan) Robinson; brothers, Mike (Martha), Cecil (Betty), David (Lisa); sister, Judy Houck; 10 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
