LOUISBURG--Funeral services for Bishop Johnny Alston, 71, who died Tuesday, Feb. 18, 2020, will be held Sunday, Feb. 23, at 2 p.m. at Walnut Grove Baptist Church in Louisburg, with the Rev. Michael Alston officiating. Burial will follow in the Gospel Unlimited Church cemetery.

Surviving: wife Annie Alston of the home; daughter, Angelina Williams (David) of Bunn; sons, Johnny Jerome Alston (Cassandra), Anthony Alston (Dalila), all of Louisburg, Jeffrey Alston (Crystal) of Spring Hope, Shelly Ray Crews of Louisburg; sisters, Shirley White (Jack), Katie Spivey (Randolph), all of Louisburg, Evelyn Spivey (Thomas) of Durham, Daisy Tuck (Freddy), Karen Rice (Jessie), all of Wendell, Joe Alston (Liz), Jessie Alston (Mary), all of Louisburg, James Alston (Patricia) of Henderson, Jimmy Alston (Leslie) of Spencer, Tony Garrett and Joseph Alston, both of Louisburg; 16 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

The family will receive friends Saturday. Feb. 22, from 5 until 7 p.m. at Richardson Funeral Home in Louisburg.
