YOUNGSVILLE - William Jesse "Buddy" Hamilton, Jr., 72, of Youngsville, died Thursday night.

Buddy was a son of the late William J. and Pattie H. Hamilton. He was preceded in death by his brother, James Earl Hamilton.

A memorial service was held 2 p.m. Monday at Rock Spring Baptist Church. The family received friends immediately following the service.

Buddy is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Janie H. Hamilton; daughters and sons-in-law, Cynthia and Tom Froass of Raleigh, Karen and Larry McKeithan of Bunn; sisters, Susie H. Lovingood and Ruth Hamilton, both of Charlotte; grandchildren, Thomas, Connor, Aidan and Claudia.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Rock Spring Baptist Church, Youth Ministry, 34 Rock Spring Church Rd., Louisburg, NC 27549.
