LOUISBURG--James Harold Harper, 95, died Tuesday, March 10, 2020 at Franklin Oaks. The family will receive friends Saturday at 1 p.m. at Sandy Creek Baptist Church, where funeral services will follow at 2 p.m., with the Rev. Jon Dorsey officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

He was born to the late Forrest C. and Beatrice Aycock Harper. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Mildred Fuller Harper; sisters, Cora Hayes, Wordna Collins, Elaine Knott; and his brother, Forrest "Sonny" Harper.

Surviving: daughters Kay (John) Sims and Judy (Gerald) Cash; son Stan (Linda) Harper; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren; sister, Marie Smith; and his brother, Earl Harper.
