ANNIE BELL CHAMBLEE


LOUISBURG--Annie Bell Chamblee, born July 2, 1932, passed on March 27, 2020. She was a graduate of Bunn High School. She joined the U. S. Army shortly after graduation and later retired from the State of North Carolina, Employment Security Commission.

She is survived by daughter, Diane Koenck of Franklinton; son, Chuck Koenck of Louisburg; granddaughter, Amanda Koenck; and great-granddaughter, Ava Bell of Louisburg.

She is also survived by her brother, Bobby Chamblee; sisters, Clara Chamblee, Jean Watkins (Charles), Margaret Faulkner (Douglas), Claudette Marshall (Elton), Dorothy Kaleel (William), Teresa Fowler; sister-in-law, Lorene Chamblee, and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Claude and Clellie Chamblee; son, Billy Koenck; sister, Fay Chamblee; brothers, Bill, Charlie, Bruce and Willie Chamblee.

At the request of Annie, no services are planned.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions can be made to the Son Shiners Club of New Hope Christian Church, 2779 NC Hwy 98, Louisburg NC 27549 on behalf of her great-granddaughter, Ava Bell, or to St. Jude's Children's Hospital or to a charity of your choice.
