LOUISBURG - Billy Murphy Tharrington, 85, of Louisburg, entered into eternity on April 15, 2020.

He was born June 3, 1934 to the late Herman Thomas and Mamie Hackney Tharrington. He was preceded in death by his wife, Carolyn Pearce Tharrington and brother, Allen Thomas Tharrington.

Billy proudly served his country in the Army. He was a faithful member of Mount Gilead Baptist Church until he was no longer physically able to attend.

A private graveside service will be held at Lancaster Memorial Park.

Billy is survived by his sister, Dorothy Tharrington of Garner. Special nephew and nieces and his care givers Wayne Tharrington, Judy Young and husband, Juan, and Brenda Robbins along with several other nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Mount Gilead Baptist Church, P.O. Box 564, Louisburg, NC 27549.
