LOUISBURG - Rex David Weathersby, 74, died Saturday morning, April 18, 2020. A private funeral service will be held Tuesday in the chapel of Strickland Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Rolesville Baptist Church cemetery.

He was the son of the late Rex Clayton Weathersby and Annie May S. Weathersby. He was preceded in death by his sister, Rebecca Smith. He was an Army paratrooper in the Vietnam War.

Surviving: his wife, Evelyn C. Weathersby; daughter, Gail Burke.
