LOUISBURG--Funeral services for Shirley Jean "Sister" Cheeks, 82, who died Thursday, April 16, 2020, will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, April 23, at Richardson Funeral Home chapel in Louisburg. Burial will follow in the Oakwood Cemetery.

Surviving: son, Michael Jones of Franklinton; sisters, Mary Alston (Jessie) of Louisburg,, Ethel Claiborne and Dorothy Covington, both of Washington, DC; one grandchild; six great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

Viewing will be Thursday from 10 until 11 a.m. at Richardson Funeral Home, Louisburg.
