LOUISBURG--Royster "Junior" Thorne Harris Jr., 86, died Friday, April 17, 2020 at Brian Center in Durham. Due to the pandemic and social distancing, the family plans to have a Celebration of Life service to remember Royster at a later date.

He was born on August 22, 1933 to the late Royster T. and Alice Hunt Harris. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Jimmy Harris. He was employed with Westinghouse for more than 20 years.

Surviving: wife, Rochelle Murray Harris; sons, Michael Anthony Harris, Timmy Dale Harris, Chad Everrett Harris (Ashley); brothers, Donald Harris (Glenda), Richard Harris (Swannie); sisters, Patsy Ayscue (W.G.), Betty Sue Rice (John); one grandson and one granddaughter; and many special nieces nephews and cousins.
