YOUNGSVILLE- Jonathan "Johnny" Carl Perry, 56, of Youngsville passed away April 22, 2020. He was born February 15, 1964 in South Charleston, WV to Ulysses "Jimmy" Perry and Margie Johnson Dukes. In addition to his father, Johnny was preceded in death by his stepfather, Ronald Dukes of Lake City, FL, and his son, Jonathan Perry, Jr of Youngsville.

Johnny is survived by his wife, Millie Perry, and daughter, Sylvia Perry of Youngsville, NC; daughter, Yvonne Napier of Middleburg, FL; and mother, Margie Dukes of Lake City, FL; 5 brothers and 1 sister of FL; several nephews, nieces and cousins.

Johnny grew up in West Virginia and Florida, where he attended Middleburg High School. Following high school, he worked in the shrimping industry where he worked his way up to be the youngest Captain in the Vona Shrimp fleet. After an injury during Hurricane Andrew, Johnny lived in Lake City, Fl. Since 1997, Johnny resided in Youngsville and worked as a plumber, most recently with Basic Plumbing, Inc in Garner, NC. Johnny was also known for being a mechanic, fishing, and having a bon-fire. He was excited about becoming a grandfather in November 2020.

A celebration of life will be held at the Perry residence at 6:30 p.m. on Friday, May 1, 2020. Due to social distancing restrictions, family and friends are asked to remain in their vehicle during the service. A live streaming will be available.
