FRANKLINTON --Joyce Laughter Pearce, 88, died Monday, June 15, 2020. A private family memorial service will be officiated by the Rev. Jonathan Chandler at Fairview Cemetery.

She was born to the late George Spurgeon and Bertha Winbon Laughter. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husbands, Joe W. Pearce and Dwight Strickland; brothers, Kenneth, Curtis and George C. Laughter; sisters, Annie Louise Moss, Sally Laughter, and Shelby Laughter.

She was a nurse at Murdoch Center, retiring after 30 years of service. She was a member of Union View Baptist Church.

Surviving: sons, David Strickland and Michael Strickland (Susan); daughters, Sandra Pisko (John), and Jayne Pearce Kearney (Frank); sister, Frances L. Peed (Wallace); a brother, John W. Laughter; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
