CASTALIA - Deborah Radford Wood, 59, of Castalia, died Thursday morning at her home.

Deborah was the daughter of the late William and Grace Radford, Jr. She was preceded in death by a sister, Sally Burnette, and brothers Edward Burnette and Douglas Burnette.

Debbie had a passion for cooking and canning. Her greatest love was her grandson, Weston; he lit up her world!

A graveside service was held 2 p.m. Saturday at Red Bud Baptist Church Cemetery.

Deborah is survived by her loving husband of 41 years, Jackie Wood; daughter and son-in-law, Ashley and Josh Shearin of Littleton; grandson, Weston Shearin. Also surviving are her nieces, nephews as well as great-nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Red Bud Baptist Church, 1284 NC Hwy. 58, Castalia, NC 27816.
