BETTY SUE MURRAY WRENN
LOUISBURG--Betty Sue Murray Wrenn moved to her heavenly home on November 24, 2020. She was born on September 21, 1947 in Louisburg, NC to the late Grover Cleveland Murray and Lena Woodlief Murray. She was the baby of five children and her daddy's "little gal."In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Johnson Murray and Don Murray, as well as her father-in-law, Malcolm "Mack" Wrenn, and mother-in-law, Elaine Ayscue Wrenn. Betty is survived by her daughters, Jane W. Martin (Jeff) and Elaine W. Pittman (Ronald); their daddy, Keith Wrenn; precious grandsons, Conner Martin, Brayden Martin, and Ryland Martin; sister, Shirley M. Horton; brother, Douglas Murray; sister-in-law, Joy Murray; niece (though more like another daughter), Deborah Ann Wall (Ray), along with many other special nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and cousins. She is also survived by her sweet grand-dogs, Bandit, Daisy, Brummie, Bear, Annie, and Molly. Betty graduated from Bunn High School in 1965. She married Keith Wrenn in 1968. She spent several years working with NC DMV, Ernst and Ernst, and Hodges Insurance before assisting Keith in his land surveying business. She then worked for nearly twenty years in Franklin County Schools until her retirement in 2009. She enjoyed reading books and the newspaper, playing Elaine's old Nintendo, watching Wheel of Fortune, cooking, going out to eat a nice meal with friends and family, and shopping when there was a good sale; however, what she loved most of all was the privilege of being a mama and grandma. She was so proud of her children and grandchildren. She loved her family dearly and did all she could and more for them. She was baptized at a pond near Flat Rock Baptist Church as a child. She attended Rolesville Baptist Church when she, Keith, and Jane lived in Rolesville, then Trinity United Methodist Church when they moved back to Louisburg in 1979. She was most recently a member at Sandy Creek Baptist Church. She went there until her physical condition made it too difficult for her to get around well. The family would like to thank all the fine folks who sent cards, brought food, and prayed for her during her lengthy illness. The family would also like to thank the staff of Community Home Health and Hospice in Henderson, particularly Shirley Richardson, Jessica Honhart, Shannon Medlin, Amy Hobgood, and Rachel Eakin, for their excellent care and support. In lieu of flowers, the family would like for donations to be made to ALS Association of NC, March of Dimes, Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, and/or Samaritan's Purse. A graveside service was held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, November 27, 2020 at Lancaster Memorial Park 2210 Highway 561, Louisburg. Due to the pandemic, masks and social distancing were required. Arrangements are being handled by Lancaster Funeral and Cremation Services, 804 N. Bickett Blvd., Louisburg, NC 27549. Online condolences may be made to www.lancasterfcs.com. Paid Obituary
