LOUISBURG, NC - Evelyn Lester Howell, 83, of Louisburg, died Thursday morning, February 25, 2021.

Evelyn was a daughter of the late Fred and Geneva D. Lester. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Howell; sister, Carolyn Homes; brothers, Fred Lester, Jr and Ronald Lester.

A graveside service was held 2 p.m. Sunday at Rock Spring Baptist Church Cemetery. The family received friends immediately following the service.

Evelyn is survived by her daughters and son-in-law, Brenda and Paul Butler of Franklinton; Kay Farley of Louisburg; sisters, Frances Gilliam of Richmond, VA; Patricia Pendergrass of Nashville; brothers and sisters-in-law, Thomas and Mary Jo Lester of Raleigh; Chris and Vicki Lester of Louisburg; four grandchildren; and one great- grandson.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Rock Spring Baptist Church, Building Fund, 34 Rock Spring Church Rd. Louisburg, NC 27549.
