FRANKLINTON, NC--Joseph A. Preddy (Buddy), age 85, died March 7, 2021 at Duke Raleigh Hospital in Raleigh, NC.

He was the husband of the late Daphine Preddy and the son of Emil and Lucy Hicks Preddy.

Survivors: brother, William (Bill) Preddy (Joyce Greathouse) of Franklinton, NC; son, Rodney Preddy (April Cobb); daughter Janet Legg (Sam) of South Hill, VA; four grandchildren and several great grandchildren.

A private service was held at Mount Olivet Baptist Church.
