FRANKLINTON, NC-William Fetzer "Billy" Oakley, 70, of Franklinton, passed away on April 25, 2021. He was born on July 24, 1950 to the late Raymond Oakley and Elizabeth Hall Langston. In addition to his parents, Billy was preceded in death by siblings, Thomas Oakley and Gary Murray.

Billy is survived by his children, David Oakley, Mary Beth Loyd, and Crystal Oakley; seven grandchildren, Tonya, Tyler, Kyle, Mackenzie, Kimberly, Trinity, and Mallory; his sister, Libby Kearney, and brother, Graham Oakley.

Billy served his country in the U.S. Army, where he had two tours in Vietnam. He loved fishing, cooking, reading and watching old war movies. Billy had traveled all fifty states and seven countries. Above all, Billy loved the Lord.

Memorial services will be private.
