FRANKLINTON -- Daphine Herscelia McGhee-Pender, 90, oF Franklinton, was born in Franklin County, North Carolina on October 5, 1930 to the late Wheeler and Parthenia McGhee. She died on May 17, 2021. She was a member of First Baptist Church for over 59 years.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, John Wheeler McGhee, Jr., and Aaron McGhee; a nephew, and two nieces.

She is survived by two nephews; four nieces; several cousins; and other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 22, at at Greater New Life Ministries, Franklinton with Elder Dexter Perry, pastor and Rev. Ivan V. McGhee officiating.

Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery.
