Janet Lynne McAbee, age 59, died after a long battle with cancer on June 25, 2021. She is the daughter of the late James Benjamin McAbee, Sr and Yvonne "Dixie" Hutto McAbee Hobgood.

Janet is survived by her sons, Seth Christopher Begley and Jacob Nathanial Begley andher siblings, Patrice McAbee Moore (Brien), Valerie McAbee Spell (Walter), Beverly McAbee McFarland (Tim) and James McAbee, Jr, (Elke) and the father of her boys, Christopher Darrel Begley.

A memorial service will be held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, July 24, 2021, at Olive Grove Baptist Church, 123 Olive Grove Road, Durham, NC, with the service officiated by Rev. Tim Wheeler. Inurnment at Olive Hill Baptist Church Cemetery.
