LOLA BELLE PARRISH DOSSETT
August 1, 1932-June 19, 2021


Lola Belle Parrish was born on August 1,1932 on a small farm near the town of Louisburg in eastern North Carolina. Her parents were Archibald and Mary Alice Hubbard Parrish, who had seven children. Lola's brother, Archie Perry Parrish and her sisters, Virginia Ruffin P. Zuercher and Ida Stuart P. Perdue predeceased her. Surviving are sisters, Alice Faye Hunter of Louisburg and Nancy Jean Long of Sacramento, California and brother, Allan Parrish of Louisburg.

Lola was a precocious child who began reading at an early age. She looked forward to every day of school while in session. She graduated from Gold Sand High School in May, 1950 with honors and as Salutatorian and was then soon recruited by the F.B. I. and sent to Washington, D.C. It was there that she met her future surviving loving husband Roy Dossett, at a YWCA dance. Lola and Roy were married for over 65 years and have three surviving children: daughter Melanie Campbell of Kansas City, MO, son Timothy Dossett of Ballwin, MO. and daughter Kanina Hadel of Gainesville, Texas, 10 grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

After several moves to new locations following her husband's career, her final residence was St Louis., Mo where she began her new adventure as a real estate agent for Ira E Berry Realtors, which became Coldwell Banker. She worked over 30 years in this business and become very experienced in this profession. Lola was very proud to be a member of the Creve Coeur Woman's Club, Garden Appreciation Club and the Bonhomme Republican Woman's Club.

Lola Belle died from pancreatic cancer on June 19, 2021 at 3:30 p.m. and was cremated at her request. A private burial was held.

Sweet Lola Belle will never be forgotten as one who brightened whoever or whatever she touched with her smile and willingness to help in any way she could. Lola will be missed by all her friends and family and especially her first true love, Roy.
