WAKE FOREST - Vance Julian Moore, 66, died Thursday, May 4, 2006. Funeral services were conducted Sunday, May 7, in the chapel of Bright Funeral Home in Wake Forest. Burial followed in Pine Forest Memorial Gardens.

He was born in Franklin County, the son of Louisa Davis Allen and the late Richard Moore. He was a self-employed dump truck driver.

Surviving: his wife, Dale Marshall Moore; son, Barry Wayne Moore of Butner; stepson, John Tatem Fonville Jr. of Wake Forest; son, Vance Marshall “Van” Moore of Wake Forest; daughter, Leslie Joy Moore of Wake Forest; mother, Louisa D. Allen of Oxford; brother, Richard Lee Moore of Oxford; and three grandchildren.
