SPRING HOPE, NC - Eloise Rice Powell, 85, of Spring Hope, died Saturday evening, August 7, 2021.

Eloise was the daughter of the late Percy and Ethel Privette Rice. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Edward Powell Jr. and her son, Michael Andrew "Andy" Powell and two sisters.

A funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday, August 10, at Duke Memorial Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends immediately following the service in the fellowship hall.

Eloise is survived by her niece, nephew, sister-in-law and many cousins.
