NEW BERN, NC -- Sharon Fleming Mullen Watts, 69, died on October 5, 2021. She was born August 8, 1952 to the late William Wallace and Frances Winston Mullen.

Sharon is survived by her husband, William Keith Watts; her son, William Winston Watts; her sister, Merle Cochrane; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

Sharon was devoted to her family, friends, and she was the family historian and loved Franklin County and Youngsville. Sharon was an elementary school teacher until the birth of her son, whom she then homeschooled. She was a devoted Christian and a member of Calvary Baptist Church in New Bern.

A graveside funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday October 8, 2021 at Oak Level Christian Church, 2279 Cedar Creek Rd. Youngsville, NC 27596.

In lieu of flowers, contributions are suggested to Calvary Baptist Church, 1821 Rhem Ave, New Bern, NC 28560 or Craven County Hospice, Craven County Hospice P.O. Drawer 12610 New Bern, NC 28561.
