LOUISBURG, NC--James Oscar Evans better known as "Tom", was born to the late Lennie and Percy Evans on August 25, 1936 in Nash County NC. He died November 5, 2021 at home.

He was preceded in death by five brothers Larry, Lonnie, Grover, Douglas, and Percy and four sisters, Helen-Christine, Eva, Jennie, and Inetta.

Survivors: wife of 45 years, Ernestine Bunch Evans. One son, Ray Richardson of Rocky Mount, NC. Seven daughters; Shirley Manson of Henderson, NC, Beverly Yarborough of Franklinton, NC, Michele Evans of Justice, NC, Jennifer Evans of the home, Tomeka Evans of Louisburg, NC. Gabrielle Evans of Raleigh, NC and Kelly Evans of Justice, NC. One sister Barbara Davis and one brother Michael Evans (Lucy Mae) both of Castalia, NC; twelve grandchildren; three great grandchildren; nieces, nephews, family and friends.
