On February 25, 2022 the life of Nancy Jean Dement was completed. Nancy was born to Joseph B. Medlin and Mable Ransdell Medlin on July 26, 1939 in Franklin County. Nancy was a loving devoted daughter, sister, wife, mother, and grandmother.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her eldest brother Joseph P. Medlin; and sister Mildred Edith Wright.

Left to cherish her memory are her brother Roosevelt Medlin; her husband of 35 years Toby Dallas Dement; daughters, June Kaye Smith (James), Audrey Denton Kellogg (Douglas); step-daughter Symantha Sass (Terry); grandchildren Janie Lathrop (Brandon), Jennifer Holiday, LeighAnne Kellogg, Greyson Kellogg, David Sass, Andrew Sass, Rebekay Goode (Shane), Kaitlyn Sass; great-grandchildren Josie and Elaine.

A celebration of life was held on February 28, 2022 at Franklinton Baptist Church.
