RALEIGH, NC-- Sallie Alford Pappas, 95, of Raleigh, NC, died September 14, 2022.

Sallie was born on February 25, 1927 in Bunn, NC to the late Benjamin Smith Alford and Lula Stallings Alford.

Sallie is predeceased by her husband, John Gus Pappas and nine sisters and brothers. She is survived by her daughters, Susan Williams (Dave) of Stephens City, VA and Elizabeth "Beth" Ferrel (Bobby) of Durham, NC, five grandchildren, and one great-grandson.

A private family interment is scheduled for a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations in Sallie's name can be made to Springmoor Endowment Fund, 1500 Sawmill Rd, Raleigh, NC 27615.
