FRANKLINTON, NC--Nannie Claire McKnight-Davis, 91, died September 24, 2022.

Nannie was born June 29, 1931 to the late William J. McKnight and Nannie Bell Burrell-McKnight in Kittrell, NC.

Nannie had three siblings, Willie Mae McKnight Richardson, James Thomas and Charlie Wilson McKnight, who all preceded her in death, and a sister-in-law, Margaret R. Davis.

In addition, she is precededed in death by her husband, Robert Lee Davis, Jr.

Survivors: two children, son Robert "Pete" Davis of the home; daughter, Shelia D. Williams (Raymond) of Franklinton, NC; aunt, Mary Edgerton of Franklinton, NC; two sisters-in-law, Bertha McKnight of Pinehurst, NC and Susie B. McKnight of Perth Amboy, NJ; nieces and nephews, two grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, a host of family and friends.

Funeral was 1 p.m., Monday, Oct. 3, 2022 at Concord Baptist Church, Kittrell, with Rev. Brian Floyd, Pastor and Rev. Charles McKnight, Eulogist. Burial was in the church cemetery.
