FRANKLINTON, NC--Vance Andrew Mendenhall, 78, of Franklinton passed away on Tuesday morning, December 13, 2022 at his residence. He was born in Franklin County son of the late Rupert and Esther Wood Mendenhall.

He was preceded in death by his wife; Betty Lou Kearney Mendenhall and brothers, Bobby and Bud Mendenhall.

A funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. Friday, December 16, in the Franklinton Baptist Church with Rev. David Averette officiating.

Burial will follow in the Fairview Cemetery in Franklinton.

Vance is survived by his brother; J.R. Mendenhall (Judy), a special niece and nephew; sisters-in-law; Donna Mendenhall and Catherine Mendenhall, several nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.

Friends may visit with the family from 2 - 3 p.m. prior to the service at the church.
