LOUISBURG, NC-- Jimmy Wheeler Edwards, 82, of Louisburg, died Monday afternoon, December 19, 2022 at his home.

Jimmy was a son of the late Morton Lee and Jessie Mae Dickerson Edwards. He was preceded in death by his sisters, Helen Peoples and Jean Maynoard; brothers, Louis Edwards and Leon Edwards.

A memorial service will be 11 a.m., Friday, December 23, 2022 in the chapel of Strickland Funeral Home & Crematory. The family will receive friends following the service.

Jimmy is survived by his loving wife of 18 years, Eloise Robbins Edwards; sister, Virginia E. Roberson and sister-in-law, Sylvia T. Edwards both of Henderson; beloved friends, James Hudson, Jr., Jerry Ayscue, Jimmy Nelms and Deborah Freeman.

I would like to thank all of his caregivers for everything they did for him his last days, Barbara Sanders, Denise Taylor, Chasity Lundberg, Tamara Maxbauer, and Ana Marie Schumitta.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Louisburg Baptist Church, P.O. Box 730, Louisburg, NC 27549.
