FRANKLINTON, NC--Eddie Goodwin, 61, of Franklinton passed away on Wednesday, May 24, 2023. He was born on September 30, 1961, the son of the late Eddie Lee and Frances Wood Goodwin. In addition to his parents, Eddie was predeceased by his brothers, Michael Delrow Goodwin, William Stanley Goodwin, Marty Goodwin, and Johnnie Goodwin.

Eddie is survived by his wife, Jean; his stepson Devin Sparks (Christine); grandkids, Andrew, Caylee, and Gracie; his nephews and niece, Bernie Goodwin (Melody), Sherry Barham (Chris), Kody Goodwin (Kayla), Dale West (Megan) and Jason Pearce; great-nephews and great-nieces, Dylan Barham (Rachel), Zachary Barham (Melissa), Kristen Mulder (Justin), Cesar Barham, Raul Barham, Savana Mitchell, Michaela Mitchell, Hannah Goodwin, Avery, Finley, Jacob , and Braelynn; great-great-nieces; Raelynn, Adalee, Baylee, and Hannah; a great-great-nephew, Grayson.

Eddie loved hanging out with his buddies, and spending time with the grandkids. He enjoyed watching NASCAR racing and listening to Elvis. Eddie was rarely if ever seen without either sweet tea or a diet Pepsi in his hand.

A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. on Friday, June 2, 2023 at Pocomoke Cowboy Church, with Pastor Spencer Strickland officiating, burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery.
