LOUISBURG, NC--Vernon Wardell Vaughan, 68, of Louisburg, died June 20, 2023. He was born on March 17, 1955, the son of the late Troy Sr. and Dora Shearin Vaughan. In addition to his parents, Vernon was predeceased by siblings, T.W. Vaughan Jr. and Lucille Vaughan Mayberry.

Vernon is survived by his loving wife, Debbie Robertson Vaughan; his stepsons, Raymond Lilley and Robert Lilley; two grandchildren; a great-grandson; his brother, Willard Vaughan (Sherry); his sisters, Peggy Wallace (Lawrence), Linda Jordan, and Sheila Vaughan; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.

A memorial service was 1 p.m., Saturday, June 24, in the Chapel of the Mausoleum at Lancaster Memorial Park, 2210 Highway 561 Louisburg.
