LOUISBURG, NC --Maurice Wayne Combs, 76, of Louisburg, died Friday, July 28, 2023 at his home in Lake Royale. He was born on July 15, 1947 to the late Fonza and Alice Bowling Combs. In addition to his parents, Wayne was preceded in death by his sister, Bonnie Nutt.

Survivors: his wife of 55 years, Rebecca Creakman Combs; his daughters, Juanita Edwards (Andrew), Carol Williams (Justin Reed), Becky Combs, and Robin Call; 15 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; his sisters, Phyllis Pegram, Debra Pollard, Connie Thomas, and Mavis Early (Clint); his brother, Tommy Combs (Petra).
