Henderson, N C- Horace "H.B." Britton Askew Jr., 74, of Henderson, died Wednesday, August 16, 2023 at Maria Parham Hospital. He was born on April 16, 1949 to Horace B. Askew Sr. and Doris Reavis Askew in Vance County, NC.

H.B. is preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his son Craig Askew (Lori); his sister Carolyn Vick; half-brother Greg Askew; and half-sister Tanya Askew.

A memorial service was held on Saturday, August 19 at South Henderson Church of God.
