OXFORD, NC--Evelyn Tharrington Brodie, 84, died Wednesday, September 20, 2023 at Universal Healthcare.

She was the daughter of the late Bost Thompson and Geneva Tharrington Richardson.

She is survived by five children: Mackson Brodie of Bunn, Roseta Brodie of Raleigh, Brenda Taylor, Patricia Brodie and William Brodie all of Oxford.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 30 at Union AME Zion Church, Oxford, by Rev. Edward Davis Jr., Eulogist and Pastor Christopher Jones. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Viewing will be one hour prior to services at the church.
