LOUISBURG, NC--Marie Harper Smith, 96, of Louisburg, passed away Friday afternoon, October 20, 2023, at Franklin Oaks.
Marie was a native of Franklin County, and was the daughter of the late Forrest Harper and Beatrice Aycock Harper. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Smith, Sr.; and son, Kenneth Smith.
A graveside service was held at 11 a.m. Monday, Oct. 23 at Lancaster Memorial Park in Louisburg.
Marie is survived by her sons, E. H. Smith and wife Nell, and Ricky Smith and wife Jodie; daughters, Joan Batton and husband Ricky, and Gloria Smith; grandchildren Ricky Batton, Shea Neal, Laura Rohrbaugh, Blair Smith, Chris Smith, Jennifer Robinson, and Jackie Miller; great-grandchildren Susan Pulliam, Jackson Neal, Crosby Rohrbaugh, Vivian Rohrbaugh, Mason Batton, Mackenzie Batton, Savannah Neal, Landon Cole Schlitz, Alaina Burbank, Dylan Burbank, and Austin Burbank; and great-great-grandchildren Hunter Thorne, Blayden Falls, and Allie Pulliam.
