LOUISBURG, NC--Luis Rolando Reyes-Ruiz, 51, of Louisburg, died Wednesday evening, November 8, 2023 at WakeMed.

Born July 26, 1972 , Luis was a native of Rio Piedras, and was the son of Maximo Reyes and Petra Ruiz-Bermudez. He was preceded in death by his father, and two brothers Hector Goritz and Nelson Goritz.

A memorial service will be held 4 p.m., Friday, November 17, in the chapel of Strickland Funeral Home & Crematory.

Luis is survived by his wife, Amy Sutton of Louisburg; mother, Petra Ruiz-Bermudez of Rochester, NY; son, Luis Reyes; step-sons, Jaysen Sutton-Almodovor and Landin Luis Reyes; brothers, Wilson Goritz, Carmen Goritz, Jorge Ruiz, and Efrain DeJesus; sisters, Maria Goritz and Miriam Rivera; three granddaughters; and many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Barbara Knight Foundation, 501 Silver Lane, Boca Raton, FL 33432.
