LOUISBURG, NC--Mary Evelyn Tharrington Gupton, 83, of Louisburg died Tuesday, November 7, 2023. She was born on September 20, 1940 to the late Eugene and Irene Tharrington.

In addition to her parents, Mary was predeceased by her husband, Benny A. Gupton; and siblings, Dale Tharrington and Hilda Tharrington.

Mary is survived by her sisters, Pam Eatmon (Dale), and Myrtle Allen (Julian); her brothers, Gene Tharrington, David Tharrington (Kay), and Bobby Ray Tharrington; her stepchildren, Betsy Wiggins, and Hope "Benjie" Griffin; and numerous nieces, nephews, and step-grandchildren.

Memorial services will be held at a later date.
